This is the first college of its kind to be based in a working rugby club, using the ethics and values of the game to help teach and mould the future generation.

QUALIFICATIONS

The College of Rugby. BTEC Level 2 First Extended Certificate in Sport. Rugby Union. 1 year course.
BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Sport. Rugby Union. 2 year course.

You will have the opportunity to work with external organisations and agencies that will give you the experience and qualifications to progress in your chosen career.

The College Of Rugby Open Training Day

Finally! We have arrived at the point where we can safely invite you to visit your new College! The College of Rugby (TCOR) are thrilled to be able to give you all the opportunity to attend an Open Training Day and a presentation of the academic content you can expect from your new course on Saturday 24th April 2021 from 10am to 12:30pm.
The Open Training Day will be held at:

After what have been an extraordinarily difficult few months, we are very excited that we can show you exactly what you can expect. After all, your expectations are our reasons for being here.
Please be ready to start the day at 10am, and we aim to finish around 12:30pm. Refreshments will be on hand for parents/carers.
Please ensure to bring with you:
  • Boots
  • Gumshield
  • Headgear
  • Suitable training kit
  • Wet weather training kit if required
  • Your own waterbottle
  • A towel
Unfortunately, showers will not be available due to COVID Restrictions. If you have not had a COVID test in the week prior to our Training Day, tests will be made available for you to self-administer on the day. We encourage all those that are attending to wear facemasks, however all circumstances will be taken into account.
Mark Withington and Kenny Orr will also talk to every applicant on a 1-1 basis as part of your interview process for College Entry September 2021. If you have any friends interested in studying Sport at a Level 3 BTEC, and who have an interest in Rugby Union, by all means encourage them to join us on the day too!

Rugby Road Map

At each stage the stated activity is the maximum permitted, however all activities in previous stages are also permitted. Further detailed guidance on allowable activities at each stage will be provided.
